1. Where are you from?

I am from New York. I grew up on Long Island and have lived in the city since right after high-school.

2. What you are into… studies, hobbies, special skills etc..?

I love staying active and doing things like playing guitar and chess, going hiking and foraging for mushrooms, working out and doing yoga. I’m also an actor and filmmaker and love being a part of making films and television happen.

3. Favorite fit clients from the biz?

Coach has been my favorite fit client. I’ve also loved working with Mark Jacobs, PVH, and The Row.

4. Dreams/goals, anything else of interest?

One of my goals is to start tackling my first feature film project of the three I am developing.

 5. Fit/modeling career highlights?

Working with The Row alongside a designer from France and the Olsen twins, and having an entire line fit to me was a highlight!

6. How did you get into fit modeling?

I totally fell into it. Bicoastal sent me on a fit casting and it worked out! I wasn’t even really aware of it before then, but I really enjoy it so I’m grateful for the opportunity.

1. Where you are from?
I am originally from Brooklyn NY.

2. What you are into… studies, hobbies, special skills etc..?
I enjoy reading and the results of exercise. I studied art (fashion illustration, story boarding, children’s illustrations – it was my favorite). I also love trying new things by giving myself goals aka resolutions. One year was getting back into ballet, another was boxing. Just recently I did swimming lessons and this year is belly dance! Anything to break up my comfort zone.

3. Favorite clients from the biz?

My favorite clients have definitely been the Alexander Wang team (love their vibe and energy), Shake and Go – always hard work but fun days, and I enjoyed working with the Marist Fashion Department (always so exciting to see creativity from the ground up with a student’s perspective and their nerves about their designs heartwarming because we’ve all been there). With Fuzzi, Cedric Charlier and recently Moschino, always love our adventures from day to day with my AEFFE family.

4. Dreams/goals any thing else of interest (any other dream clients?)?

Everyone who knows me knows that my ultimate dream client would be Chloé, I have followed the brand since Karl Largerfeld was creative director followed through with Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo and then Clare Waight Keller and now Natcha Ramsay- Levi and still I fall in love collection by collection. Zimmerman is another client that I would love to work with, something about getting the opportunity to work with an utterly feminine brand – same with Ulla Johnson. And to work with the timelessness that is Ralph Lauren and DVF, I would die! Let’s also not forget about Richard Tisci, everything he touches is golden! But there are so many creatives and so many different fields to choose from, I want to do it all!

5. Career highlights?

I really loved my Prada x Elle webtorial still one of my highlights, great team, great work and a feeling of satisfaction was definitely met with that one. Project Runway was really lovely to work with not only did it introduce me to television but also the production and all the work that comes with that. I also made and kept a lot of friends I cherish.

6. How did you get into modeling or acting?

I was originally scouted but it didn’t turn out to well. I dabbled a bit afterward but it wasn’t until I actually volunteering with the CFDA and happened to be able to watch the show I was helping out with. It was Anna Sui and it opened up with this dance number and after the little dance Karlie Kloss steps out and just struts down that runway, I was so in awe and so inspired, I really wanted to be that strong and confident. She was my major inspiration that started me modeling I wanted to have that presence, plus my love of seeing things from beginning to end also gave me the drive to go into it. I love to follow a process and see it’s outcomes and to be surrounded by all the creative facets that involve modeling it’s what keeps me inspired.

Songzio3.jpg1. Where you are from?
Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii.

2. What you are into… studies, hobbies, special skills etc..?
Surfing is my passion. I’ve set most of my goals around having a life that involves me surfing as much as possible. I have made sacrifices with my work demands being high (not complaining haha), I see it as building my future to having the things I want in life 🙂
3. Favorite clients from the biz?
A wise person told me that one of the most important things in business is to be able to maintain great relationships and trust with people. I’ve taken that advice with all clients and relationships I’ve built over my career and it’s worked so far. I really look for and find the good in people and situations and have found that to be helpful in creating and building on those relationships.
4. Dreams/goals any thing else of interest (any other dream clients?)?forward
Surfing every day and having my house back home in Hawaii, that’s my dream. When I get to that point there isn’t much beyond that I want in life. Traveling is fun, maybe go on a boat trip to the Maldives, check out Greece, visit all the little parts of the US that I haven’t been to yet, I want to see the northern lights, bioluminescent water at night… Yea that’s it really haha
5. Career highlights?
Shooting with David Sims, Bruce Weber, living in NYC and being in the hustle and actually surviving it all haha. I’ve watched a lot of friends and people I’ve met move or get spit out of NYC in a year or two or less and mostly because they can’t handle it. I’m very fortunate I stuck it out and was able to find my way to be successful and do well for myself. NYC is not easy to live in and become a part of. So to me, being able to call NYC one of my homes is probably one of the biggest highlights of my career.
6. How did you get into modeling or acting?
My dad and I made fun of Andrew Keegan’s character from a scene in that movie “10 Things I Hate About You” after standing in a pose with his hands on his hips turning his face camera left side-profile with a semi-serious face….
“You see what I did there?”
Girl pauses unsure… ‘Uhuh…?’
adam“That was underwear…. Alright! I’ll show you the bathing suit pose.” *goes back into the same exact position as before*
“You see the difference?”

What started out as a joke about the audacity and shameless character in the movie, has now become somewhat of a running internal joke between my father and I because I don’t think I am, and definitely try not to be, at all like that character in the movie.

To answer the question, I was discovered a few years after that that movie came out when I was in high school by a photographer from Italy 🙂
