Well for starters I am currently studying theatre, which has been so exciting as I am delving into my passion for acting and writing. I love to play basketball and football whenever I have the time to do so. Traveling is also a passion of mine, I have had the privilege to visit so many places. My favorite countries that I have visited are Croatia, Japan and Oman. I volunteer with Veteran organizations whenever I get the chance to, taking into account that I was in the Coast Guard for 4 years, stationed in DC.

3. Favorite clients from the biz?

Taking into account that I am fairly new to the industry, I am happy to say that amongst my favorite clients Calvin Klein is one of them! I also really enjoyed doing Fit for Bombas and doing a campaign for Smile Direct Club.

4. Dreams/goals any thing else of interest (any other dream clients?)?

My dreams are to have an original play by me produced and to star in something I have written. I would love to continue modeling for more brands and expand my portfolio.

5. Career highlights?

Definitely seeing my face and smile on billboards for Smile Direct Club all over New York was amazing. Being able to be a part of Calvin Klein’s mens denim fit clinic was pretty cool too!

6. How did you get into modeling ?

I got in to modeling because a friend told me I should try. I never saw myself modeling before but now that I am completely immersed in it, I am in love.

3. Favorite clients from the biz?

I always have a great time when I’m on set so I don’t want to say I have a favorite client. Being at Guess studio in California was definitely a highlight though!

I would love to work with Versace, Chanel and Victoria Secret. Of course runway is something I want to keep doing in the future.

3. Favorite clients from the biz?

Oh this is a hard question to answer. I feel like every client has their own special magic and connection. There are clients that repeatedly bring me back because they don’t only love the outcome, they love the environment we foster.

4. Dreams/goals any thing else of interest (any other dream clients?)?

I have so many goals and I want to do it all. My goal in life is to become a surgeon but of course also to be a more well-known model. I dream of closing a big international campaign.

5. Career highlights?

I have been a model for 10 years now. I have enjoyed doing NYFW runway walks for known designers in Lincoln center, did a Bobby Brown 20th anniversary shoot, worked with Estée Lauder, Smashbox, and traveled the world with L’ANZA. I have had the pleasure to be fit model with some of my favorite companies such as Mara Hoffman, Theory and Uniqlo. I have been really blessed in my modeling career and can’t wait to create more of these special moments.

6. How did you get into modeling ?

This is a funny story actually. I have been a soccer player for most of my life and in turn didn’t really feel like a pretty girl because I grew up in a family full of beautiful women. At one point I was a waitress and my best friend was modeling at the time and told me me to try it. She set up a test shoot for me, dressed me up and even had a make up artist for me. As soon as I was in front of the camera I felt as if I belonged. I fell in love and from there I did not stop learning and growing into what I am today. Life is really beautiful when you seize opportunities that come your way. Biggest lesson I have learned is to never give up and there is always more to learn about this beautiful crazy industry.

Fit Model of the Month – Robbie B

We are thrilled to have our star on the rise, Robbie Briskie, as our July Model of the Month. From fitting with clients like Republic Clothing to 2(X)IST, Robbie continues to show love and devotion to the industry!

1. Where you are from?

The capital of New York- Albany, NY.

2. What you are into… studies, hobbies, special skills etc..?

Ever since I was younger, my mother who’s always ran marathons and races inspired me to turn my hobby of running into a competitive sport. This caused me to join many track & field teams and cross country, leading me to go to college for it. I also love to kayak, swim, and hike, as living right outside the Adirondack mountain park makes it easy! I also went to school for criminology and was a crime mapper for a couple years until I started modeling.

Robbie73. Favorite clients from the biz?

My favorite client are by far Spencer’s Gifts and Spirit Halloween… they’re the nicest mix of individuals who create a beautiful family dynamic and I love Halloween costumes! Also 2(X)IST was tons of fun too!

4. Dreams/goals any thing else of interest (any other dream clients?)?

My dreams are to travel around the world competing in triathlons, surrounded by friends and family, and living a comfortable life… I’m a pretty simple guy.

5. Career highlights?

I was shipped out to Zürich, Switzerland, to work for a ski brand. I ended up staying at the Matterhorn Ski and Snowboarding Resort. It was all-around such a great experience!

6. How did you get into modeling ?

It was a complete random chain of events that lead me to modeling. My friend was looking for someone to work on a Polaroid Sunglass Campaign and I was chosen to work on this project in Venice, California. From there, I was scouted and the rest is history!

Fashion Model of the Month – Carty

We are thrilled to have our fashion/commercial star on the rise, Carty Caruso, as our July Model of the Month. Continue reading to find out more about Carty’s ventures in the entertainment industry!

1. Where you are from?

I am a New Yorker! I’ve lived all around the city and Westchester, but really when people ask, I just say NYC.

2. What you are into… studies, hobbies, special skills etc..?

Hip Hop is the love of my life.  I am currently recording my first mixtape; I have been collaborating with many of my friends who are also passionate about the craft. Besides keeping up with the latest music, I am also an avid gamer. My favorite games of all time are Super Smash Brothers, Halo 3, Skyrim… I could go on and on about all the things I love to do, but let me summarize instead. I drink the best coffee you have ever had, and I don’t settle for less. I try to keep up with my style, and I have been making my own jewelry lately. I want to finish school sometime when modeling and acting calms down, my dream would be receiving a degree in Astrophysics.

Untitled-Session5082_polarr3. Favorite clients from the biz?

My favorite clients would definitely be all the casting directors I have gotten to know over the years: Wulf, Nina Goldman, Grande Morris, and of course Eric Cano, just to name a few. I have also become family friends with Victor De Souza and Jerome Lamar.  I try to treat everyone equally in my life, so it’s hard to choose favorites from over the years. Recently, I was on the hit Chinese TV show Over the Sea I Come to You, which was a great experience, but that’s a story for another time.

4. Dreams/goals any thing else of interest (any other dream clients?)?

I would like a Prada resort campaign, to be the face of Tom Ford’s cologne range, be featured as the cover of V Man magazine… is that enough ambition for you? I’d also love Hedi Slimane to create his next pair of skinny jeans exactly to my body specifications.

5. Career highlights?

Seeing myself on every Sky train platform in Bangkok was surreal for sure!  Billboards are always fantastic, but what’s ultimately even more fulfilling is creating some really unique and downright beautiful images with a creative team… even if it pays less.

6. How did you get into modeling ?

Long story short, I got signed to my first agency after finishing my acting conservatory back in 2016, but they mismanaged me so I ended up going independent for the next year or so. I met with BICOASTAL MGMT after months of trying to get signed elsewhere, and Malissa and the team immediately got me to work. In 2018, I left for Thailand and spent 3 months working in Bangkok. I spent the rest of the year doing television in China before coming home and making big moves this year.  This has definitely been my best year yet and I don’t plan on slowing down any time soon!

Fashion Model of the Month – Leneve

We are thrilled to have our fashion/commercial star on the rise, Leneve Mellow, as our June Model of the Month. From juggling her studies with digital journalism– to dancing–to modeling for clients like Instagram and Clinique, Leneve does it all and it’s no question why we’re so proud of her!

1. Where you are from?

I am originally from the Bronx but my family is from West Africa and Dominica.

2. What you are into… studies, hobbies, special skills etc..?

I am into journalism… meaning writing articles and learning about the media politically, socially, etc. I’ve been a dancer for 10 whole years and l’m good making water droplet sounds with my mouth and can put my foot behind my head too. I can also play a little bit of the violin!

EstherNiederberger-11.jpg3. Favorite clients from the biz?

My favorite client was doing my first job for Xerox. My lips were the star of the campaign which was pretty cool. I loved it because I met new people in the process and built amazing connections!

4. Dreams/goals any thing else of interest (any other dream clients?)?

My dream is to hopefully become a bigger person in the modeling industry and would be the happiest girl on earth if I ever had the opportunity to walk for Victoria’s Secret, Versace, Louis Vuitton, or Prada! I would also love to focus my studies on journalism, and possibly also open a dance school in my country in Africa one day.

5. Career highlights?

My career highlights would probably be getting to know new people with every casting and job I do, including being able to show my personality and the fun side to me.

6. How did you get into modeling ?

I got into modeling when I was very young, doing shoots with my mom who modeled at a young age as well, also knowing my dad was a model too, so I guess I got that sense of looking up to two beautiful models. This is my first time doing modeling for myself and being part of my first agency!

Model of the Month – Lauren Ryan

We are thrilled to have our star on the rise, Lauren Ryan, as our June Model of the Month. From fitting with clients like Jenny Yoo to American Eagle, Lauren continues to show love and devotion to the industry!

1. Where you are from?

Native New Yorker. Born and raised in Bronxville. I’m also an Irish citizen.

2. What you are into… studies, hobbies, special skills etc..?

I love live music! One of the most beautiful things about living in NYC is that the music never stops. There is always something new to see and discover. I feel incredibly lucky to have access to see such talent… I can barely hold my excitement for Phish summer tour!

I also hold a big place in my heart for Yankee baseball.

Screen Shot 2019-06-26 at 3.11.01 PM3. Favorite clients from the biz?

Love them all! Though my good friend Jodi Sandman at Crescala Fashion Development has been a dream client. Crescala has allowed me to work with dozens of some of the most talented emerging designers in the industry. It’s been an incredible pleasure to do fit and showroom work with such an amazing group throughout the years.

4. Dreams/goals any thing else of interest (any other dream clients?)?

My dream clients would definitely be any of the major French fashion houses. Azzedine Alaia, Chanel, Dior, Lanvin, YSL etc. The opportunity would allow my inner fashion nerd to shine bright… and to be a part of fashion history would be pretty cool too.

5. Career highlights?

Every new season is a highlight! It’s such an honor being part of the design process and helping the designers tell their stories through the collections. I love to see the brands I work with evolve and grow. I get so excited whenever I see celebrities wearing garments fitted on me in magazines and on the red carpet. It validates me and that what I’m doing is getting done right.

6. How did you get into modeling ?

From working in the industry! While attending LIM college, I had a long standing internship assisting the designer at Adrienne Vittadini who then started to use me occasionally for inhouse fit. I signed with my first agency shortly after. But the technical skills and understanding of garment making I leaned from that experience transcends throughout my fit modeling career.

Model of the Month – Clare Rae

We are thrilled to have our star on the rise, Clare R, as our May Model of the Month. From being featured in Seventeen Magazine to Eloquii – Clare does it all! Continue reading to learn more about Clare, what inspires her, and her dream clients!

1. Where you are from?

A tiny beach town in FL called Vero Beach.

2. What you are into… studies, hobbies, special skills etc..?

Dance! I grew up doing competitive dance and studied musical theatre in college while dancing professionally in Miami. I’m fully addicted to face masks (it’s a study, hobby, and special skill!) as well as spending time researching and furthering all things body positive.

IMG_9375

3. Favorite clients from the biz?

I love working with my Full Beauty Brands team! They’re so fun to work with. It’s never boring. I also love getting to see what’s coming up for Eloquii. Their clothes are truly amazing!

4. Dreams/goals any thing else of interest (any other dream clients?)?

A dream client would be Chromat or 11honore. They have such amazing visions. Chromat is the most responsible and progressive brand – it would be amazing to be a part of that. But in general I want to be a part of normalizing plus bodies in the mainstream narrative through commercial, acting, print, or fit!

5. Career highlights?

My first big print feature was 17 Magazine. It was an all sizes swim shoot and it was a blast. I couldn’t believe my “full tummy” fit was a full page in print in a magazine!

fffweek beauty shot

6. How did you get into modeling ?

I have an acting background so I was submitting for a wide range of jobs through breakdown services, and an overwhelming amount of the response was for “curvy girls needed” in print/commercials (this was in 2012 when the industry was a little more niche). Then, one of the production team members from my 17 shoot suggested I look into agencies specifically for modeling.

Model of the Month – Janine T

We are thrilled to have our star on the rise, Janine T, as our March Model of the Month. From Project Runway to Prada – Janine does it all! Continue reading to learn more about Janine, what inspires her, and her dream clients!

Screen Shot 2019-03-13 at 11.37.59 AM.png

1. Where you are from?
I am originally from Brooklyn NY.

2. What you are into… studies, hobbies, special skills etc..?
I enjoy reading and the results of exercise. I studied art (fashion illustration, story boarding, children’s illustrations – it was my favorite). I also love trying new things by giving myself goals aka resolutions. One year was getting back into ballet, another was boxing. Just recently I did swimming lessons and this year is belly dance! Anything to break up my comfort zone.

3. Favorite clients from the biz?

My favorite clients have definitely been the Alexander Wang team (love their vibe and energy), Shake and Go – always hard work but fun days, and I enjoyed working with the Marist Fashion Department (always so exciting to see creativity from the ground up with a student’s perspective and their nerves about their designs heartwarming because we’ve all been there). With Fuzzi, Cedric Charlier and recently Moschino, always love our adventures from day to day with my AEFFE family.

Screen Shot 2019-03-13 at 11.43.11 AM.png
4. Dreams/goals any thing else of interest (any other dream clients?)?

Everyone who knows me knows that my ultimate dream client would be Chloé, I have followed the brand since Karl Largerfeld was creative director followed through with Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo and then Clare Waight Keller and now Natcha Ramsay- Levi and still I fall in love collection by collection. Zimmerman is another client that I would love to work with, something about getting the opportunity to work with an utterly feminine brand – same with Ulla Johnson. And to work with the timelessness that is Ralph Lauren and DVF, I would die! Let’s also not forget about Richard Tisci, everything he touches is golden! But there are so many creatives and so many different fields to choose from, I want to do it all!

5. Career highlights?

I really loved my Prada x Elle webtorial still one of my highlights, great team, great work and a feeling of satisfaction was definitely met with that one. Project Runway was really lovely to work with not only did it introduce me to television but also the production and all the work that comes with that. I also made and kept a lot of friends I cherish.

6. How did you get into modeling or acting?

I was originally scouted but it didn’t turn out to well. I dabbled a bit afterward but it wasn’t until I actually volunteering with the CFDA and happened to be able to watch the show I was helping out with. It was Anna Sui and it opened up with this dance number and after the little dance Karlie Kloss steps out and just struts down that runway, I was so in awe and so inspired, I really wanted to be that strong and confident. She was my major inspiration that started me modeling I wanted to have that presence, plus my love of seeing things from beginning to end also gave me the drive to go into it. I love to follow a process and see it’s outcomes and to be surrounded by all the creative facets that involve modeling it’s what keeps me inspired.

BICOASTAL MGMT x NYFW SS19

As always, NYFW was a whirlwind! See some highlights below of our girls rocking runways + presentations, features by Vogue, WWD and more!
