1. Where you are from?
I was born in Connecticut, grew up in Long Island, attended college at University of Georgia, since then I lived in 7 different cities and finally settled in NJ.
2. What you are into… studies, hobbies, special skills etc..?
Other than being a mom (which is not exactly a hobby but is definitely what I am most passionate about), I love interior design and renovating homes.
3. Favorite clients from the biz?
I really enjoy all the clients I work with. However, I have to give shout outs to my favorite tech departments.… Elie Tahari crew, Macy’s crew, and the ladies at CK dresses
4. Dreams/goals any thing else of interest (any other dream clients?)?
I love real estate! My dream would be to have my own house flipping show with my husband as a hilarious dynamic duo.
5. Career highlights?
The fact that I get to do this amazing job is a career highlight. I am looking forward to traveling overseas to work with factories next. Since I recently returned back to fitting….. I look forward to whats ahead and creating new career highlights.
6. How did you get into modeling?
After college I filled out a random job post for Elie Tahari, who was looking for an in-house fit model. I copied and pasted the specs (at the time I had no idea what specs were) and received a call back. The rest is history! I took a long hiatus while traveling for my husbands job and having my 2 boys, but now i’m permanently back and fitting more than I ever could have imagined.
Our very own LornaLitz had recently sat down with the Huffington Post to discuss Body Image and her overall experience as a model. Embracing her curves meant embracing herself; She is the perfect model to aspire to be. She is fun, fierce and most importantly FABULOUS!!
Here is an excerpt from her interview:
Feeling like an outsider in the fashion world drove Lornalitz to some pretty unhealthy behavior in her teens. “Starting at the age of 12, I began exercising obsessively and drinking diet teas and/or diet pills, starting down that path towards an unhealthy lifestyle. I was trying to fit in.”
By the time she reached the age of 15-16, Lornalitz’s extreme diet and fitness habits had escalated into a full-blown eating disorder. “I reached my smallest size, size 2, in high school. I remember going to a fitting for NY fashion week, with a big-time designer who I won’t name. I put on the garment and it fit perfectly, but the designer felt like it needed to be looser around the hips,” she recalls.
