Do you get blue in the winter? During the cold dark days, I often get quiet and melancholy. The weather is cold, we put on our layers of mummy clothing, the sky is grey and it’s dark outside at 4:30 pm. It’s important to find moments to reconnect with yourself and the earth- be sure you are getting fresh air everyday, taking extra vitamin D and getting enough omega 3’s and exercise. I’ve found during these internal, quiet times of the year, it’s important to make time to connect with a friend, someone you can trust to let out the ruins of the day without judgement. Chances are others are feeling a bit down during the cold winter months. The simple act of talking to one another can lift the spirits.
